What Is a Nextbase Skin?

Skins are overlays that personalize your Dash Cam videos with extra info such as:

• Speed
• GPS & map data
• G-Force
• Rear camera footage
• Longitude & latitude
• Time & date
• Social media usernames

Perfect for sharing with friends, family, or online.

 

How to Apply a Skin 

1. Connect your Dash Cam to the Nextbase app via Bluetooth.
2. Open the Library screen and select a video.
3. In Playback, tap the Skins button in the carousel.
4. Choose your skin elements (add your social handle too!).
5. Tap Apply → download starts (if needed).
6. Keep the app open while it renders (may take longer on older phones).
7. Once complete, your skinned video will appear in Playback.

Notes

Skins only work on high-resolution files.

Missing data (speed, GPS, G-sensor) - try another video.
