-
Access to a permanent live fuse or ignition fuse on your vehicle.
-
Basic tools like a screwdriver and a trim tool.
Step-by-step installation
-
Locate the fuse box.
-
Choose a fuse:
-
Permanent live fuse → powers the Dash Cam at all times and allows the use of Smart Parking.
-
Ignition fuse → powers the Dash Cam only when the car is on.
-
-
Remove the chosen fuse from your fuse box and insert the fuse tap.
-
Connect the Piqo power cable.
- Ground the Hardwire Kit to a metal point.
-
Test the Dash Cam by turning ignition on and off.
-
Hide the cables neatly using a trim tool.
-
Complete a final check to confirm the setup works.
Permanent vs. Ignition fuse
-
A permanent live fuse allows Smart Parking to work, as the camera gets power when the ignition is off.
-
An ignition fuse does not allow Smart Parking, since the camera only gets power when the ignition is on.
