Guardian Mode Lite

What is Guardian Mode Lite?

Guardian Mode Lite is a simplified version of Guardian Mode from the iQ series.
It uses video tagging, geofence triggers, and speed triggers to monitor your car when you’re not there.

How does Guardian Mode Lite work

• Tracks your vehicle’s location and speed.

• If the geofence is breached or the speed limit exceeded, the Dash Cam records.

• The event is stored as a protected video file.

How to set it up

1. Complete onboarding in the Nextbase app.

2. Open the Guardian Mode Lite tile.

3. Set your geofence perimeter.

4. Set your speed thresholds.
   
   

What happens during a breach

• Without your phone connected, the Dash Cam records a Protected file and saves the event to the SD card.

• With your phone connected, you get an instant app notification.
  Example: “Guardian Mode speed breach” or “Guardian Mode location breach.”

Accessing Guardian Mode Lite files

• Open the Library tab in the Nextbase app.

• Go to Protected Files.

• All Guardian Mode Lite videos are stored there.
