How to connect your Dash Cam to a computer
This guide will help you easily connect your Dash Cam to your computer. Once connected, we suggest using the My Nextbase Player to watch your recordings. You'll even be able to see G sensor and GPS information!
Follow these simple steps to connect your Dash Cam to your computer using the USB cable provided in the box:
-
Connect the USB cable to the port on your Dash Cam (make sure not to plug the cable into the mount).
-
When your Dash Cam's screen shows a menu with 3 choices, pick either "Mass Storage" or "Access Files" (depending on your Dash Cam model) and then press 'OK'. This will allow your computer to recognize the Dash Cam.
-
Your Dash Cam will now appear as a removable drive on your computer. Look for it in "My Computer" (Windows) or "Finder" (Mac). It's usually named NEXTBASE.
-
Double click on the NEXTBASE drive. You'll see 'DCIM', 'nextbase.com', and 'nextbase.info'.
-
Double click on 'DCIM'. You'll find a few folders inside (depending on your Dash Cam model) containing your recordings.
-
You can now copy the files to your computer, watch them with your computer's media player, or view them using the right Nextbase app.
